“Everything is under the sea,” pronouncedKarl Lagerfeld over a tablescape of nacreous necklaces and clutch minaudières fashioned like seashells.
He promises a set for spring 2012 that evokes the magical world of the ocean floor and airy clothes made from specially developed fabrics that capture the phosphorescence of plankton under moonlight. Karl was also inspired by the work of Blinky Palermo that he saw at Dia:Beacon for some intriguing plays of geometry amongst all the sea foam.
